Apple and Almond PHILADELPHIA

What you need

  • 150g butter, softened
  • 125g block PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
  • 220g caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoon almond essence
  • 2 tablespoons light sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup self-raising flour, sifted
  • 425g can pie apples
  • 1/2 cup flaked almonds
  • 1/3 cup raw sugar

How to make it

  1. BEAT butter, PHILLY, sugar and almond essence using an electric mixer until pale and fluffy.
  2. ADD sour cream, ginger and eggs and beat until combined. Fold in flour and apple then spoon mixture into a lightly greased 24cm cake tin.
  3. SPRINKLE almonds and raw sugar on top and bake in a moderate oven 180ÂșC for 50-60 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
