Caramelised Apples on Waffles

What you need

  • 60g unsalted butter
  • 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1/3 cup caster sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brandy
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 125g block PHILADELPHIA Light Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 tablespoon caster sugar, extra
  • 8 waffles, toasted
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted

How to make it

  1. MELT butter in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add apples and cook until starting to turn golden. Add sugar, brandy and lemon juice. Stir over low heat for 10 minutes until golden and syrupy.
  2. BEAT together the PHILLY, cream and extra sugar until smooth.
  3. SERVE waffles topped with caramelised apples, toasted almonds and PHILLY cream.
