What you need

  • 250g PHILADELPHIA Block Cream Cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup cream
  • 2 tablespoons icing sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 8 fresh dates, pitted, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon finely diced glace ginger
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange rind
  • icing sugar
  • short bread biscuits, to serve

How to make it

  1. BEAT together PHILLY, cream, icing sugar, lemon juice and flour. Fold in the dates, ginger and orange rind.
  2. SPOON into small (approx 50mls capacity) lightly buttered oven proof dishes. Bake 15 minutes or until just firm and lightly golden, in a 180° C (fan forced) oven.
  3. DUST heavily with icing sugar, serve warm or at room temperature with crisp, buttery biscuits, and a dollop of cream.
