Fruit Salad Middle Eastern Style with PHILLY

What you need

  • 100g dried apricots
  • 100g dried figs
  • 100g dried peaches
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean
  • 2 x 1cm wide strips of lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • cold water
  • 1 star anise
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 20g whole, blanched almonds

Delicious Philly Dollop

  • 100g tub PHILADELPHIA Spreadable Cream Cheese
  • 2 tablespoons icing sugar, sifted
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

How to make it

  1. PLACE all fruit salad ingredients except nuts in a medium saucepan and just cover with cold water. Slowly bring to a simmer.
  2. COOK for 15 minutes over low heat. Remove from heat, allow to cool and stir in almonds. Remove star anise and cinnamon stick.
  3. SERVE topped with delicious Philly Dollop, with a sprinkle of ground nutmeg or cinnamon.

Delicious Philly Dollop

  1. BEAT PHILLY, icing sugar, orange juice and vanilla essence with a wooden spoon until smooth.
  2. DOLLOP over your favourite fresh or stewed fruits!
