What you need

  • 100g can smoked mussels, drained
  • 250g tub PHILADELPHIA Spreadable Cream Cheese
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons chopped chives
  • 6 slices long white bread, (bread cut horizontally) buttered on one side

How to make it

  • COMBINE the smoked mussels, PHILLY, lemon juice and chives and process until smooth in a blender or food processor.
  • SPREAD mixture evenly over the unbuttered side of three slices of the bread and top with remaining slices, buttered side up, chill. Trim crust off bread and cut into fingers or triangles.
  • COOK the sandwiches in a non-stick fry pan over a medium heat until golden on both sides. Serve immediately.
