What you need

  • 250g PHILADELPHIA Block Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 3/4 cups self-raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup canned pie apple
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, lightly packed, extra, for sprinkling

How to make it

  • LIGHTLY grease a 12 x 1/2 cup capacity muffin pan.
  • COMBINE PHILLY, brown sugar, egg and milk in a large bowl and whisk until smooth. Add sifted dry ingredients and apple and mix with a metal spoon to combine. Do not over-mix. The mixture should be lumpy. Spoon into the prepared pan and sprinkle with extra brown sugar.
  • BAKE at 200°C for 15-20 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Serve warm or cold.
